Hassan Khan is an artist, musician and writer. He lives and works in Cairo, Egypt. Recent solo shows include Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen (2010) Galerie Chantal Crousel (2011), Queens Museum of Art (2011) CCA Kitakyushu (2011) and SALT Istanbul (2012). Khan has also participated in the Istanbul (2003), Seville (2006), Sydney (2006), Thessaloniki (2007)  Contour (2007) Gwangju (2008)  Momentum (2013) biennales, the Yokohama (2008), Paris (2012) New Museum (2012) triennalles as well as Manifesta 8 (2010) and dOCUMENTA 13 (2012) amongst other international group shows. His writings are widely published in both Arabic and English and as a musician he has composed soundtracks for theater and film as well as regularly performing his own original music in festivals and venues around the world.
